Top Fighter 2 Post-Jam Update


Hello everybody! I wanted to thank everyone that has played this game so far, and especially everyone from the Jam that left comments and rated. Since the results of the Jam were released, I have been using the feedback I received to create this update. The rest of this post will discuss this new release, which is intended to enhance the experience of new players. I did not add any new levels in this update (but stay tuned). Thank you for your interest in the development of this game!

New Features:
-How to Play/Tutorial! This new "level" teaches the basics of the game, as well as revealing how to increase the damage you deal to your opponent! Hopefully this will allow players to be more strategic when facing each level. The Tutorial can be accessed from the Main Menu.

Quality of Life improvements:
-Controls options added to Settings that allow Player 1 to choose from keyboard or mouse controls. In Sandbox Multiplayer, Player 2 automatically uses the other controls.
-Settings as well as level progress are now saved to your copy of the game! Music and FX Volume also now defaults to 50% rather than 100% when the game is first opened.
-Music transitions added! It now takes 1 second for the scene to transition when a level is chosen to be loaded. Also, music that previously stuttered on loop now plays seamlessly.
-"Shattering" animations added for when tops run out of health.
-The results menu when playing Sandbox Multiplayer now displays whether Player 1 or Player 2 won.
-Some sound effects added in an attempt to improve game and menu feel. I'd love any feedback on these especially!

A little extra:
-Splash text on the Main Menu improved and increased in variety.
-Your current health no longer affects how much damage you do.
